thrillcraft - the environmental consequences of motorized recrea

Here's my favorite lie from the site...and I quote: "Bear in mind that because most thrill craft users view ORV use as a gang activity, people using such machines often gather in large groups, accentuating the collective negative effects of their presence." Are you kidding me? A gang activity? Let's go kick his ass, bring the brass knuckles and spare chains. da Vermonster

That was sad on so many levels and quite funny on others. I especially enjoyed the numerous spelling and grammar errors. Scott

I love how they coin a new word then use it over and over and over... ad infinitum. I work at a major university and I run into these enviro-nazi types all the time. They scream tolerance until your idea of enjoyment of a resource conflicts with theirs. There are a couple of valid points, such as people not sticking to designated trails, but this stuff is already illegal. Simple enforcement of existing regulations would be enough to solve the problem. Just like smoking laws... gun laws... dog laws... They're trying to regulate anything masculine out of existance. They want to live in France... maybe they should. -Jeff Khoury

I can't pin it down, but I sense that this discussion may be drifting slightly toward the political. And sexist. Isn't a forum like this one a haven from folks calling folks Nazis? I'll bet there are other forums where that sort of name-calling is welcome and encouraged. Can't we go back to talking about murdered-out motorsickles ridden 20,000mi/month by helmetless guys in fake Oakleys and flip-flops? That there was some VALUABLE discourse....
