stripped drain plug

I have put 25 lbs. of torque on my drain plug many times and it never stripped. I don't usually use a torque wrench so I end up over torquing cuz I am paranoid that it will come loose. I use a copper washer which probably has more crush than the stock aluminum one though. I just heat up a copper washer on my gas stove and reuse it. I have reused the current one at least 8 times. I also have the magnetic drain plug that sticks out some(not the flusher better one). But I gather it is the case that strips not the drain plug... Jeffrey number 4
