That instantly reminded me of: ..."it's got eight cylinders, uses 'em all... overdrive, just won't stall"... My pappy said "Boy, you're gonna drive me to drinkin' if you don't stop drivin' that HOT. ROD. LINCOLN". -Jeff Khoury Astatic Solutions, LLC.

Question How could I get my hands in one of these ? www.dieselmotorcycles.com Answer Join the USMC. The company has all it can do to keep up with the production requirements of the Gov. and has thus delayed release of the civilian version

i love my eagle mike 8rl-1 raising links...

I'm a big guy, but had been losing weight... I was down to 270lbs last summer. The KLR was overloaded, but I was having fun despite that. Due to leg issues I've been having this year, I stopped my regular walks and have gained back 30lbs so far. :-( Too much for the poor KLR... Where I used to just be able to get both sets of toes on the ground, now it sagged so bad that I could get both feet flat, and then some. And that was with pre-load set to 5. I read up on shock replacements and shock spring replacement, but decided to try the raising links and see how much difference it made. I called Mike last week, I think it was Tuesday or Wednesday, and the links arrived in the mail on Saturday. Amazing! The longest part of the installation was borrowing a torque wrench from my neighbor. The rest took about 15 minutes. The links looked very nice. I wish I could afford to have Mike replace all the parts of my KLR with beautiful CNC-milled anodized aluminum replacements. :-) So, did they work? Yes! I am back to touching just my toes... I left the pre-load at 5 for now... I'll reduce it if I lose weight again or if I need a softer ride on the trail, but for regular street riding it seems great. Thanks Mike! Tom

Thanks for the good feed back, unfortunately I already served ( French 11th Airborne, am one of those that used to jump out of a perfectly good plane ..I miss those days ) . But if I read you correctly there is a strong chance that the diesel will be available to a special few ? Correct ?
