To anyone looking for the original Kawasaki KLR 600/650 service manuals I have a used copy of the two volumes which I would be willing to sell for $25 plus postage. Contact me at btegler@... and we can sort out the details. Brent Tegler Tengai Rider Fergus, Ontario Canda.

Brent, I don't think the offer for sale of your physical manuals was the problem, rather the request for a (free) place to download them. -Jeff Khoury Astatic Solutions, LLC.

Brent, i agree with Jeff. It is your manual to sell. It is trying to find copyright material for free that is a problem. Fred, I you disagree please set us straight Rick A17 ________________________________ From: Jeff Khoury To: Brent Tegler Cc: Fred Hink ; DSN KLR650 DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com> Sent: Wednesday, September 16, 2009 12:06:18 PM Subject: Re: [DSN_KLR650] Re: is the KLR service manual Brent, I don't think the offer for sale of your physical manuals was the problem, rather the request for a (free) place to download them. -Jeff Khoury Astatic Solutions, LLC.

I don't disagree. Sorry I wasn't more explicit in my directive. Yahoo sez: "It is Yahoo!'s policy, in appropriate circumstances and at its discretion, to disable and/or terminate the accounts of users who may infringe or repeatedly infringe the copyrights or other intellectual property rights of Yahoo! and/or others." Actually there is nothing wrong with trying to find copyright material for free. That is usually fine if the person providing it gives up the original copy. It is the copying and selling or even giving away for free bootleg copies of the copyright material that is against Yahoo policy and the law. Since Kawasaki never made digital copies they would all be bootleg and not subject to legal distribution. The gray area is if you obtain a bona-fide copy and wish to make a copy for your own personal use. That is against Kawasaki's policy but some would say is legal anyway but only for your own use and not to distribute. Walt
