I use KeePassX (a unix version of KeePass) and it is a life-saver.
I only use it for accounts with privileged access or sensitive info- For generic web sites I use a generic password.

I have an "algorithm" for my passwords, this way they're all different and I can always remember them.
For example:
123firpasswd
with
123 being a fixed series of numbers
fir being the first 3 letters of the name of the site or institution
passwd being a password I use a lot.
Modify, share and enjoy.

revmaaatin, et al. -
I never allow the computer to save passwords for online sites,
especially those sites that are of a financial nature. I use a
"template" for all my passwords. There is one component of my
passwords that is the same across the board for all my passwords
(present and future), and there is another component that is unique
to each site or company. This "template" or "formula" allows me to
create both a strong password and one that I remember without fail
for any site. I am of a cynical and suspicious nature, unfortunately
(fortunately?), and I wouldn't trust a piece of software, either.
Anyone who has created the software can definitely use that knowledge
against consumers of the software. It might never happen, but then
again......

system of his own design......

The KLR is back in the Iron Butt!
"Also from the KLR650 forum, the guy on the KLR got some rest, had an auto
repair joint straighten the bike a bit (except a side bag which has no
cover) and he is back in and running the rally.... gutsy attitude."
