nklr valve stem snake

I bought one of these two years ago--absolutely love it.
don't always seem to be available, or at least not easily found.
Great product for those that are finger and sight challenged when changing a tire. Especially useful when using the HD rear tube.

little help needed

Other advice I saw was good and probably will cover you, but there is
one other thing you might want to check...
Drain the bowl on the carb. Use some kind of tube to catch the fuel
and such and drain it into a clear container. If there's anything in
the bottom of the container other than gas, you are probably getting
water in the carb. I just fought with this for months on my 08 and
finally fixed it last week. The symptoms on my bike were similar
enough to yours that it might be the same issue.
If you do have water in the carb, you need to add the "T-Mod" to the
breather line. On the 08 and 09's, the carb breather line is routed
under the seat (it's clear with a pinkish tint). Water gets under the
seat and funnelled into that line, which goes straight into the carb.
Add a "T" connector to the line and run another line from the bottom
of the T down to the rest of the lines that come out the bottom of the
bike on the right side near the rear brake. On the pre-08's, the
T-mod was the reverse... the line was already run down and you had to
run another one up under the seat or tank.
I've found on mine that it didn't matter if it was raining or not when
it actually stalled. Aparently, there was enough water in the carb or
under the seat from the last time it rained. It was unpredictable
enough that I could never rely on actually getting where I was going.
I also added a fuel line to the bottom of the carb drain so that I
wasn't draining gas on the exhaust every time I needed to do it. It
works, so I left it there in case I ever need to do a quick drain
again in the future.
