Experiment time. Have some friends stand on the roadside as you get another
friend to drive toward them
at 55mph in a pickup truck. Ride along in the truck and yell something out
the open sliding rear window as loud as you can and see if anyone in
front of the approaching truck understood you or even heard you at all.
