Waving can be fun. Its always interesting to see the reaction.
Most wave back, sometimes with the cool guy slicing down action, some with the 90 degree V for Victory, and maybe 5% with a full fledged but shortened full wrist action maneuver.
Rarely Harleys, .....especially, it seems, with scarves around the head...am I just imagining this?
What is somewhat amazing is the amount of sportbikes that wave in the midst of a tight turn at speed....hey! no need really, I understand! But the gesture is appreciated.
I now ride a KLR650 with Givi bags, hand warmers, vest outlet, etc ......Ok, I admit it, its overkill, but when you commute at 6 AM in the bay area it can get a bit chilly....and even Highway 35 can get a bit low in the fall and winter.....it allows me to ride 12 months of the year and really appreciate how lucky we are to live here. 2 of the grown kids now ride KLRs too. One a British Enfield in India. They have rediscovered how much riding connects you to lots of neat areas and people.
10 minutes to redwoods and pines, 1 hour to Alice's Restaurant, 30 minutes to the ocean, 2 hours to the Sierras or the wine country, 1 1/2 hours to Carmel and Big Sur....Geesh, this is to die for....but don't!
Get out and ride, and wave. It makes the cages jealous.

That's why we put NKLR in the subject... In case you're not interested. Take a deep breath. Relax. You'll live longer.
