DualSportNews' KLR650 Discussion ListFWIW, here in NJ - which has to be one of the pickiest states for things like this - the flashing brake light is OK as long as it stops flashing after a few seconds. Vehicle inspection is required every other year, and the inspector just asks you to hold the brake lever/pedal until the light goes steady. I have this feature on all my bikes and it's never been an issue. The moral of the story, I suppose, is check with your local DMV. I set it up to flash before the light comes on steady. The instructions say "off road only, not DOT approved for highway use." I like to keep my law enforcement encounters to a minimum.
