looking for turn signal beeper

It may be a sign of getting old, but this riding around with my turn signals on has got to stop!
The problem with the beepers I have found so far, is they beep immediately when the signals are turned on. I don't want to sound like a back loader when I'm sitting at a red light. Are any beepers available with a time delay?
Besides costing around $100, signal cancelers will leave the switch in the on position, not ready to activate for the next turn.
Anyone know of a product/modification that addresses my concerns.

I don't know of a product that fits your need, but what I did was to buy
the push-to-cancel turn signal setup. About $70.
I make it a habit to reach up periodically and push it off ... just in
case. I also make it a habit to press it off as I'm close to completing
my turn, and again when I straighten up my bike.
It's not perfect, but it works pretty well, and is a good habit on other
bikes as well.

There is a simplke way using 2 diodes and a radio shack beeper. Diodes are
set to pass current from each turn signal bulkb to the beeper but not allow
a back current from one activated bulb to the other. This keeps both bulbs
from blinking together. Probably what the kits do.

I don't think hitchhiking will solve anything... Try handsignals, they self cancel when you start to move.

There's an indicator light in the dash.
What you could do is to replace that indicator with a superbright LED. It'll
get your attention in the brightest of sun and won't let you forget. Or a
small LED 'remote-mounted' up on the windshield top edge.

Craig,
I had the same problem because the indicator lamp on my KLR isn't in my field of view unless I look downward.
I installed a Radio Shack beeper with a diode from each front turn signal wire to power the beeper. I ran the ground for the beeper through a tiny normally closed relay I bought at Radio Shack. (Current draw for the beeper is quite small, so the smallest relay and diodes are sufficient.) I actuated the relay with a lead from the brake light circuit.
The beeper functions when I actuate either turn signal, but it is silenced if I have the brake applied. This way I just have to hold the brake ON while I'm stopped at a light. As soon as I release the brake to ride away, the beeper sounds off to remind me to cancel the turn signal.

I was inspired by

Parts used:
90dB Piezo Pulse Buzzer 273-066 (I lost the paperwork, but I'm pretty sure this is the one.)
1N914/1N4148 type diodes 276-1122 (package of ten)
7-9VDC/12A SPDT relay 275-005
The relay has connections which enable you to connect it either normally open or normally closed.

That is some cool farkle.
You should submit it to Kawasaki for factory insallation to their bikes.
Would you consider putting that in a wiring diagram and place it in the photo's or submit it to the FAQ king?
or perhaps,
a kit for sale that is plug and play....
I'd buy one....
