ramp recommendations
I made mine outta 2" x 10" and a 1"x 10" with a stagger. So if could catch on the bed of my truck.
Mostly did'nt want the mower deck snagging the ramp going down.
Then drilled holes near the upper end and bolted some Eye-Bolts in the so I can use a ratchet strap to secure the ramps to the truck for loading and unloading.
Nice thing is now my ramps are the length of my truck bed to help reduce the angle.
I use both when loading the KLR, run the bike up in 1st gear on the right ramp and walk up the left.
Also happen to have a couple 2x10 and 1x10's in the garage when the need arised.
And before somebody starts to say wood and weight, I also use these ramps to load a 500+ lb 4 wheeler without a problem.
