1-5 on stock shocks? klr650 2007

I have only turned mine clockwise, I could see it not hurting much going counterclockwise except how are you going to get that big step to go from 1 to 5 ? Think of the AT&T signal bars they show on there TV ads but in a circle, 2-3, one small step for mankind, 5-1 one giant leap for broken adjusters. Just my $.02 Dooden A15 Green Ape

I've heard (anecdotal) evidence that turning them backward rounds off the detentes and they have a tendency to randomly adjust themselves afterward. Any adjuster bolt that breaks from being turned counterclockwise was probably bound to break anyway, as more than a few have done. > > The damping adjustment at the bottom of the shock is only supposed to be turned one way, but I have no idea what the penalty is for an infraction. > > All of the foregoing applies only to '07 and earlier shocks. > > > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] >
