battery connection

Who designed these connections. what a pain in the ass. I broke the little + wire. what does the little connector wire on the pos side do anywhy?

On the pre 08 models the smaller of the two positive wires from the battery goes to the 20 amp fuse and then to the ignition switch and fan relay. So it provides power to everything except the starter motor. There was a TV show on one night, some rich guy wanted to beat the cross the country speed record, NY -> LA. Dude he had everything including airplanes flying overhead with radar looking for the cops and communicating back to the driver, he had tons of stuff installed in the car, don't remember what model car but he was hauling ass! I don't recall if he made it or not but at some places he was well above the speed limit for long periods of time and it would show how they would be hiding over hills, etc.>
