[dsn_klr650] what is the best helment for the money?

Hello all, Do you know any pros and cons about these mods to offer some crash protection? the cost is similar -- $210 for the crash bars and $235 for the fuel tank: http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/productview/2671/238/ and the 6.6 gallon tank is from Dual Star. So the tank shrouds will hold a little more gas and protect the radiator. Are there any hidden drawbacks to havoing the larger platic tank rather than keeping the stock on and using crash bars? I know that the IMS tank holds extra fuel and would eliminate the plastic shrouds. And the plastic tank wouldn't allow using the magentic tank bag, neither of wich is a deal-killer for me. thanks, Dan

The IMS tank works not sure 'bout the crash bars. My bike has been down numerous times on the IMS tank. The extra gallon of gas can come in handy. You will lose your locking gas cap. If you have one of the translucent tanks you also gain a gas gauge.

I purtchased a Seven Zero Seven from cycle Gear for 125 bucks, for my passengers. all who have used it like the helmet. I rode once with it. fits nicely. good view, less wind noise. just not as offroad as i like for my main helmet. its truly going to be a personal option for you. do you like open dirtbike helmet with googles of do you want street style with shield. there really is no "good" mix. the $500 shoei has its downfalls. much like our bikes.
