Hello list- Its that time of year again, Just a reminder to those who are pushing their bikes out of garage/ dark recesses and storage boxes--love on your wet cell battery and check the water level before any vigorous activity. Remember to use distilled water and recharge after adding water. I opened up my 01's battery yesterday--(now 3years old) just to be cautions-and find it at the min-service line = well above the plates. It would be below the min service line soon as we have gone from 30's to 80's in just a few days. Good rule of thumb: service your wetcell battery every time you change the oil. Every 1000 miles if you are riding at temps over 90F. Never if you have changed to a maintenance free battery. smile. I got one of each. revmaaatin.
