08 3600 miles, stall then won't start, running out of ideas.

Mike I have an 08 with 17000 miles on it . I love it. But I have had a few problems, there is not any type of bike, model or make the does not have few issues. That being said look at your wiring harness under the right tank shroud I found mine to be chaffing and would have caused some trouble if I had not caught it early. Also there is a recall on some 08s (maybe all I don't know) for wiring issues under the steering column where all the frame tubes join together. I had a problem there also. I fixed it before the recall was issued. Other than that check your switches all of them including safety lock out stuff kick stand, clutch, neutral safety switch, and kill switch. Good luck I hope this helps some. I pulled the gastank back off and unscrewed the spark plug. I laid the spark plug across the cylendar and turned the starter over. No spark Moved the spark plug around to the bolt making sure the threads touched something. no spark took a picture of how I tested http://www.getbent net/klr650/ checkforspark. jpg First question, am I doing it right. Second question, where to next?

Hi all, a while back I posted a "Pre-Ride Checklist" and several of you made comments. I checked the Archives and can not locate that post. I recall the title of the post was "Pre-Ride Checklist" and was posted under my name. If any of you can find it, please let me know, and thanks. Eddie (03' KLR - "la poderosa")
