Hey fellow KLRer's, Need a hand trying to solution how best to use my iPod with my bike. Already have a switched Circuit running to a mini-dash, with 2 Cigarette lighter type plugs. I want to connect my Griffen FM Transmitter iPod charger to this, it broadcasts the signal from the iPod, (most know this I know . Question is how do I get it to my helmet??? What receiver, what helmet speakers? Need the tunes keeps me somewhat calmer, you know less kicking cars that tick me off .... I don't know squat about any of that technocrap you are talking about. But if I understand you correctly, you want to have a radio to listen to music while riding? While it sounds neat, and I am sure some people do, it sounds like a really bad idea if you are riding near other cars. It is hard enough driving near cagers without the distractions of radios, cell phones, GPS, etc, etc. Just look at all of the idiots driving right now not paying attention to what they are doing because of their technotoys they just can't live without for 5 minutes. I think it could be done, the guy I learned my fabrication skills from stated " anything will fit anything, with a cutting torch and a welder". I have been "polishing a turd" my 1986 KLR600 that is. using a system called plastic renew. Finer and finer sandpaper, and finish with stuff like liquid acrylic wax, really comes out nice. I am going to start cutting up my Honda Odyssey FL250, to give it full suspension in the rear, and put a 440 sled motor in as a power plant, more power, smoother ride. I all ready have all the stuff, just gotta find the time, I could have started on it on my day off yesterday, but I chose to take the Polaris 350 Trailboss out for a beating behind my friends house in the woods, still a lot of snow here in NH.
