<><><><><><><><><> <><><><><><><><><> - Brian, - I haven't been in that area in a while but recall it's a tight fit - getting to the back of the nut with the shock installed. - I think if I had a stripped nut to fix in that area I'd install a - heli-coil. - - For the bolt I'd replace it with stock as I "think" the unthread - section - is a special size to fit the shock mount inner diameter. - Best, - Jeff Saline Thanks Jeff, I took off the rear frame, simple actually, which took about 1/2 hour The top of the shock including bolt & nut were fully exposed. The nut was spot welded in 4 places (not all the way round). I cut the weld with a hacksaw & smoothed the surface with a file. I then obtained a nut bot combination from town which is very close to the original. The only disadvantage is that they are not rust proof. Trying t find someone with a portable mig welder to spot weld the bolt. I could torque the nut as is but would have to dissassemble the frame next year. Thanks Jeff Brian
