Hey list, have you heard of the new law banning children under 12 from being around lead products and how it is killing the small dirt bike / ATV market? Dealers are having to pull them off the showroom floor. Motocross tracks and parks are being impacted by it. I just read an article in the Ft. Worth Star Telegram about it this morning. There is supposed to be an exemption for products wrongly painted by this too-broad brush. I can't imagine why kiddie motorcycles would not qualify. What is the likelihood that your toddler will suck on the throttle barrel of his dirt bike?

Big article in the Ft. Worth Star Telegram (not a right wing rag) about how local dealers, motocross tracks and parks were really being affected by it. Always read the fine print from the idiots in DC. They don't use dirt bikes or ATV's. They use limos. Anyone heard of the price tag for the new helicopters for our new Commander in Jefe? Criswell

You mean the six-year old project to build a new fleet of presidential helicopters? Not Obama's idea. And as he said to a sour-looking John McCain in a public-forum yesterday, he thinks his current helicopter is "perfectly adequate." -JT CC: DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com To: judjonzz@... Mike, they are going to a digital format (PDF) that subscribers can download. The new digital issue is ready, but they need to update the web site. I guess the web guy is still working on it. Hang in there, you haven't missed anything. They will make sure you get all the issues your entitled to. You should be getting a notice in the next few weeks. But just to cover my bases, if you don't hear from them, then it may be that they have suspended operations until they get "stimulated" by a cash infusion. Why they haven't responded to your e-mails is a question I will ask them about. R

Does anyone have a subscription to Dual Sport News? The last issue I got was Aug 2008 and that is the last one shown on their website. They have not answered my emails. Did they suspend operations or something? Thanks, Mike [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
