Yea. No kidding. I keep looking for info and opinions on the Duro tire, but not having much success. If I can get my transmission repaired, I'll need some new tires. The TKC-80's I've been using for years have gotten more expensive than car tires! Lamar A14

~~~Marty posted about using one of the rear Duros over on the KLR World forum a few years ago. I forget what he paired it w/in the front, and had nothing but good to say Log on over there, do a search. Marty lives and rides in central-north central Fla. so I would imagine he rode sugar sand with it Jake Reddick Fla.
I had a bad experience with a Duro HF904 (I think that was the model). It chunked severely within 300 miles of installation and I was on a long trip. I have heard good and bad things about Duros over the years so maybe it's a quality control issue. This was a few years ago so maybe things are better now. I recall having a problem getting through to Duro to see about warranty coverage and ultimately gave up. when I had a problem with a Kenda tire, they reimbursed me for the price of the replacement tire (also a Kenda) even though it was a more expensive tire. They didn't even give me a hassle about paying for the cost labor. When I'm looking for a cheaper tire I go to Kenda... da Vermonster
