Who would like to ride from Point Barrow(starting in june) along the continental divide down through south america to the Horn? When I retire from the Army (20 in 2011) I want to take a trip. Just thought I would get some planning in, routes and all that stuff. Not sure if the audience has ever done such a thing but if you would like to hit the road we have plenty of time to consider it. And that's also depending on when the Army will let me go. Once again, its a plan, plenty of time to work the logistics and passport stuff. If anyone would be interested just reply. DTG (date, time group) not solid but in the breeze. How's it sound? Larry Sent via BlackBerry from T-Mobile

It's you, Rev! That new black looks OK to me. I'm not a big fan of the newest generation KLR anyway; it is not likely that I will ever get one. I like all the colors, even the Malibu Barbie years. (But I wouldn't rate them as a favorite) Like Malibu Barbie, however, I'd like to have one from every year in every color. As they say on the commercials, collect 'em all! In the mid 90s, Kawasaki was using purple for seats and frames and that took some getting used to. Just like fashions, not everyone likes the same thing. Arden likes the original white, and so do I, but he doesn't like the one year only genuine Kawasaki green (2006), but I like that one. Gary does not like any of the colors from 1996 thru 2000, but I particularly like the solid green minimal graphics of the 2000 model. None of us will ever agree on colors! In industry, I have found that agreement on color is one of the most debated and argued topics, and often takes a high level management decision to get a project going that is hung up on what color it will be. Last and not least, as much as I've bashed BMW in the past, I like what they have and would seriously consider the F 800 GS if economic times were better. Maybe one of the Big 4 will come out with something similar (in the USA) in the next couple years. Mike Arden Kysely wrote:
