250 mile round trip to northern Pennsylvania, on Dec 28. Mid-40s but
really raining off / on. Got colder once on the northern plateau with
back roads ice covered. Hunting for a back road to use this summer for
dual sport event. Rain made icy roads even more fun. Got chased off
when on gun club property. Kept both feet down as outriggers for ~10
miles - glad I did many times.
Now roads, here, are too icy to ride. Better weather for duck / goose
hunting. Ice-fishing soon.

I got my Z1R Strike, the one in the article, for $49 when they were closing
them out at MAW online. Don't know if any are left but it is a good helmet.
According to the long long tech test in the article it is one of the safest
helmets in existence too.
This article is worth reading

They only list strike youth helmets now but the Stance looks like mine but
with different plastic gizmos. Probably the same shell and linner

Luc,
Try and "Google" up a 'Motorcyclist' article on helmet testing from
2005(???). It explains
REALLY well the different standards. #1 rated was the Z1R at about $99, DOT
rated only.
Cheers,
Ed

about a controversy between DOT and SNELL homologation ,which one is better
