Hello,
I was curious to see if any of you guys had experience with the Tourmaster Synergy vest liner. My wife is asking for hints for Christmas and I'm really liking the idea of a heated vest to keep me warm on those cold days. So reviews? Good? Bad? Ugly?
Thanks,
Garrett

There's a lot on the Synergy over on the advrider forums. Basic conclusions: The vest itself
seems fairly well designed and works very well at keeping you warm, *IF* the controller is
working properly. The controller appears to be quite problematic. And Tourmaster warranty
support appears to be somewhat problematic also, some people got replacement controllers
with no problem, others kept battling Tourmaster until finally giving up and throwing the
entire thing in the trash or buying a different make or model of controller (such as the
Heatroller) and re-wiring it to work with the Synergy.
I'm in the market too for a vest to replace my Widder that I, err, "outgrew" (heh!), and I'm
considering the Tourmaster. I haven't made up my mind though about what to do here,
whether to just get the Tourmaster, get the Tourmaster with a Warm'n'Safe controller, or go
all-out and get the Warm'n'Safe controller with a Warm'n'Safe jacket liner.
Oh yeah, universal opinion is that the Synergy gloves are worthless. Avoid.

Yeah, some of my gear has "shrunk" over the last few years, too. Instead
of replacing my Widder vest with a larger size, I got a "Zip-R-Strip" from
Tom the Tailor.

Disclosure, I do know Tom personally, but I would recommend his product
anyway.
