Judd--these pictures should make you happy, cough. re. "a story
without pictures is worthless." So, if your premise is true,
Perhaps, you can send me a check now?

I'd be glad to send you my check, except, except that my office mate is holding my check
for (touching my little finger to the corner of my mouth) ONE MILLION DOLLARS. One more
in any amount would almost certainly overdraw my account. So let's just say, I am forever
in your debt, sir. Whatever the amount, I'd rather owe it to you than beat you out of it. And
remember, oral agreements are not worth the paper they are printed on. How much was
that again?

By "verbal agreement" do you mean one that has been reduced to words?

But only if transcribed to paper for the learning impaired.
Jud did you make it to the 08 Enduraid ? That ride just did'nt seem
much fun, packing up and riding campsite to campsite... Just tooooo
much freaking effort... Nice place with open space, bar close by, some
riders with large panniers that fill nice with ice and beer and maybe
some BBQ and that sounds fun.
(Somebody give me some Freaking Laser Beams)
Snow Sucks... btw

Alan,
I would.
It is everybit as easy as joining here.
Chose the webmail function if you like.
there is not a lot of traffic this time of year, and if you are
thinking or are tempted to go on the GDR, several people that have
done it, watch the list. And of course, you get to see
Agony of Adventure. smile.

The last one I got to was a couple of years ago, '06 I think. I endoed my DRZ about half a
mile into the ride and got hauled out of the woods in a pickup. A night in the hospital for
"observation" featured a concussion, lots of good drugs, and a urine sample that looked
like Rolling Rock and Clamato due to a well-bashed kidney.
But that's not the reason I didn't go back. I like to set up my tent once on Friday, and take
it down on Sunday. You have the right idea. Enjoy a refreshing beverage and some burned
meat in between rides. That and the fact that the venue the last couple of years would
leave me too far from Minneapolis to get back in time for the Blind Lizard picnic on
Sunday.
This year there was still a ride, I guess, but the Riggs brothers did not show. They had
done the same thing enough times; time to move on to new things, I guess. They wanted
to change the format, change the location (maybe to the Black Hills), but most guys liked
it pretty much the way it was. Maybe I'll have to try one of the Wabeno rides. Those should
be pretty handy for you. May and September.
