This is not necessarily a KLR question, but it is a KLR shield. My
cleaer shield has yellowed over time. First off, is there any way to
clear it? I didn't think so. How about tinting it? I have a plastic
film tinting but the shield is curved and it wrinkles a lot. I tried
heat but its just too curved. Any idea where I can get a spray on tint
or clear/translucent paint or such?

I have not tried this product for your issue, but it says it is for cloudiness and stubborn oxidation too. I use it with great success for removing scratches from clearn plastic (cell phone & gps screens, sunglasses, etc), so I think it is worth a try for your problem. "Meguiar's Plastix--Clear Plastic Cleaner and Polish" ---available at auto supply stores.

You might try some plain old rubbing alcohol. That clears the
cloudiness on my Miata rear window. Or the Plastic cleaner. Don't use
something like Windex. That screws plastic up.

Alcohol damages plastic too, just differently. A good plastic polish should work. If not, you
can always spray the windshield with krylon fusion spraypaint and have a solid-color
windshield

Hi Ron, I use Plastix and it does work pretty good, but with the dislaimer that if the oxidation is pretty bad you need to use a very fine polishing compound first and then you really have to work it it with the Plastix to get the scraches out....Have a great evening....Greg

Slumming around, I found this article about braking in a turn that
would be helful to most. It even has pictures for the verbally
challenged.
