i've got a little play in the swing arm?

Post by hardyreels » Wed Nov 12, 2008 1:30 am

With my 06 up on a ATV jack I can feel a tad of movement in my swing arm. It seems to have some flex by design but this is a little bump when you move the rear wheel side to side. By a bump I mean maybe a 64th or so of play. What to do?

I agree with the nascar comment... and tell me when is this idealistic 20 bike pack going to show up and not one muffler will have been rusted out and changed to a aftermarket muffler.... seems fishy to me...sort of like the twilight zone... Imagine this a family having a picnic in a serene spot with no noise from anything... suddenly a pack of bikers on super quiet enduros gently ride by so as to not disturb them. You have entered the twilight zone.....LOL.... Not going to happen with 20 bikes...at least 5 will have somethng done that increases the noise....

Hardy, I'm to new to the list to give good advise. But if it was on one of my Beemer's I consider re-torquing any pivot pins and bearing. I did take most of the suspension loose and repack bearing on my new 08 when I added lowering links. Will get around to the swing arm bearing before winter is over.. Mike H. Louisiana
