waterproof moto boots?

Post by Spike55 » Wed Nov 05, 2008 2:08 pm

I too use military lace up boots (Belleville) and have used them for 3 yrs summer / winter / rain / shine. Lug tread, Gore-Tex inner bootie, and study. I got them brand-new in the box at a local surplus store for $88. Don R100, A6F

Being in Law Enforcement I have always purchased a high quality lace up waterproof boot. I have found that Danner Boots meet all my needs: > http://www.danner.com/category/gore-tex+boots/gore- tex+uniform+boots.do?page=3 > I like the Striker GTX boot for the price and the fact that is is Gor-Tex lined. > Danner also make some boots that do not have molded but stitched on soles and can be re-soled, localy or by Danner. > The Acadia Elite GTX Uniform Boots is an example of one that can be resoled. Don't let the Danner home page prices scare you off. Find the boot you are interested in and do a Google search... There is a host of Law-Enforcement and Para-Military supply companies on line. > I have ridden in the pouring rain for hours and not have a wet sock.
