my 2006 had the progressive shock on the bike when I bought it in 2006 with 2500 miles when I went to change the setting it spun freely I have a lot of preload in the shock I don't know if that had any effect on the shock. after hearing about others having problems with a shock I can't say I would recommend it, the p.o. had giving me all of the parts that had been taken off so I had the stock shock. the stock shock has worked better than the progressive shock for me. it rides smoother probably because I can't dial in more preload. I road the trans America trail (miss.\ark.\oak.) leg and never had it bottom out on me 210lbs. plus gear hal2006 [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
