It seems like,in view of the later posts, that the political,name calling,personal attacks have subsided... Good.
Now, I've noticed that everytime there is some kind of bickering,long debates, the REAL Riders of KLR, the Jeff Saline, Albatroos,Revmaatin,Fred Hink ,just to name a few,stay out of the "fights".Why is that I wonder? OH, I KNOW.. they know that this list is to help out,exchange ideas,within reasons, sticking to the subject wich is KLR .Gurus to you Gentlemen ( or is it Kudos ? ) !!!
Where is that ol'sailor from Costa Rica at have not heard from him in a while ? Jacques ??

I find that with klr riders who are polar oposite of me in political
and and or religious beliefs that we are a lot a like. The klr or dual
sport rider takes a different type of person than the "cool bike" crowd
of bike "drivers" vs klr "riders".
So I find the insight to other klr'ista's minds interesting.
So far what I read every year around this time is exchanging ideas
within reason. Though over the limit at times of the forum rules.
As a klr rider since 18yrs old now 40 (klr250 and 650) I am sometimes
shocked to find us types who lean left... Oh never mind that last
statement...
But one thing I believe in my heart is that America at our worst is
generally better than most all of the other nations at thier best.

As an outsider looking in, I have a theory on that. You people always
set the bar higher than a lot of countries so the rest of us play a lot
of catch up. This does not apply to everything, but a lot of things. I
was watching this video and that thought came to mind....why do trials
at 1 mph when you can do it at 50 mph...and even in the dark.
