Sen. Stevens was helping the oil companies cheat the Alaskan people out of their share of the oil revenues, campaigned against her during her run for guv, then went asking for her help when the Feds came after him...seems she told him that...your a crook, and you deserve to go to jail...but she would be bad for the country...??? I think Congress is terrified of the thought of her sitting behind the Speaker of the House when it's in session...not like their ole buddy Biden.

These people aren't smart enough to protect themselves from losing it all. They might lie, cheat and steal but eventually it catches up with them. Look at Ted Stevens in Alaska...even that old goat is trying to play stupid to avoid corruption charges. We'll get him. We just have to stay vigillant and not put up with the bullshit. I was completely against the $850 billion (read trillions now) bailout, of course the vastly corrupt Congress loaded it up with pork and got it done anyway despite the strong public adversity. Eventually the shadows work against them. Millions of us and so few of them. We'll fix it. Hope is never lost. I'm not necessarily saying you have to vote for Obama. I'm just sharing my opinion there. Frankly, I hope I'm not wrong about him, but I can not stand for another Bush. McCain isn't educated and thinks he'll just use his war hero status and the good old boys and some advisers to fix everything. No thanks! At least Obama is well educated and can speak clearly and logically. We can debate the electoral college system, but only two states have some other method over than popular vote takes all. But correctly stated the national popular vote doesn't necessarily win. No doubt we saw Congress is no democracy...the little bastards voted yes for a pork-ladden $850 billion bailout that NONE of wanted! No the simple shits are saying...well, give it time to work. These humps will be long gone with their pockets full before the general public realizes the entire dodgy bill is a complete sham! The economy is a wreck and bad businesses should burn: Let the new trees rise while we end the corruption and learn some good, tough lessons from these crooks.
