My turn signals started going out at about 20k miles. The flasher unit is under the tank (not far from the coil but close to the center frame that runs under the tank) and you can use a 3 dollar 2 prong "thermal flasher" replacement avail at all auto parts stores. But you have to yank the tank.

I think stock is about 10mm narrower than the Renthal and the Renthal looks to be maybe 1/2"-3/4" taller than the stock bar.
