Dennis Kirk charges $5 per tire on an order so the real cost is
$43.99+$6.95(shipping). You could save the $6.95 if the order
was over $100.
http://www.rockymountainatv.com> Has it for $41.99+$7 for
shipping which is free on orders over $99. You would have to
wait, however, since it is Temporarily out of stock.
Expected in stock Oct 17, 2008

Regardless of any price that will beat Dennis Kirk, they will match any competitor price & beat by 1.00/per tire. When I am shopping tires I enter into any search engine "Kenda K270 closeout" , "Kenda K270 sale" or "Kenda K270 clearance" & sift through ....looking for a better deal, then call Dennis Kirk. They will match, then beat....

nklr there is no real org. that promotes motorcycling effectivel

I was a member for 14 years (until I took my bike off the road for health reasons). While I did not particularly care for everything the AMA did I felt it was the only game in town for those of us on motorcycles. People talk about ABATE and GWRRA and other groups, but I'll bet the AMA is the only one with enough clout to matter.
Who among you remembers the Danforth "superbike ban" of '87 or thereabouts?

Are you an AMA member? As the main national motorcyclist
organization, they try to work changes through the state and federal
systems. With 290,000 members it would seem like they'd have some
clout...until you realize the AARP has a membership of 35,000,000 or
so.
Motorcycling is a minority pursuit, only a minority of us join the
AMA, and only a minority of members do anything but pay their dues
and read the magazine. Have you written to a legislator lately?
Visited their office? On the other hand, we'll all get old and most
of us will join AARP to take advantage of their clout when we need
it.
Splitting lanes is risky business. You have a choice of doing it or
not. Accept the risk or accept the delay. If you try to get
government involved in it I can guarantee you won't like the outcome.
The AMA isn't perfect, but unless you want to start your own
organization, quit whining and use what you have to its best
advantage.
