> The valve stem core can come loose. I would get some soapy water and
a sponge or brush and scrub it all over the tire, including the valve stem. The soap leaves large bubbles wherever there's a leak. The tool to tighten the valve stem core costs a couple of bucks almost anywhere. I've even seen valve stem caps with the tool built in. If that's the case, just tighten it up.

I usually carry a small spray bottle of soapy water, I`ve read that it does help find a leak (and clean your hands). But that morning when I was pulling my bike out of the garage I accidently stepped on the bottle and broke it. aargh. The problem was staring me right in the face and I didn`t even notice it (untill yesterday) that it was the valve core that came loose or bad. I never heard of the problem or gave it any thought that the valve core could be the problem, duh! My valve caps do have the tool thingy on them. Good thing I didn`t decide to disassemble the front tire out in the middle of nowhere for nothing. Or end up falling off the bike for stupidity. Ya, I`m kicking myself in the ass. But, live & learn. Thanks for the input.
