Don't forget that crap in hte lever assembly can also be a culprit. Easy to take apart and clean. da Vermonster

Basically you take it apart, clean and polish everything, and put it back together. If there are pitted, rusted parts you might have to replace some of them. If there are rebuild kits available they have all necessary parts. Usually there is just gunk in them that keeps them from working right. > > dave > > > > ----- Original Message ---- > From: nakedwaterskier > To: DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com > Sent: Wednesday, September 17, 2008 11:05:04 PM > Subject: [DSN_KLR650] Brake Help! > > > I would pay close attention to how the pads are sitting in the calipers > and that they are not binding or caught on something. > > I would take off the caliper and not the wheel to see > how the pads are positioned; whether stuck or binding. Details and everything on Craig's List at the link below. It's mine and after recent spine surgery and upon returning to work found that 'my position had been eliminated'. Like the bumper stickers say "$hit Happens". It will probably be a year or so till I can ride again, let's see if the 09's are showing up now I should be ready for the 2010! Maybe it's time to put together a group 'wish list' for the 2010 model! What would you guy's add, I would certainly ask for a more comfortable seat and a decent skid plate to start with! If anyone knows a buddy who is looking for a KLR let them know about this one, funny there is quite a few KLR's on Craig's List right now. https://post.craigslist.org/manage/857756556/w8u9j Thanks!
