hollow klr600 axle bolt on a klr650?

has any one used the hollow axle bolt from a klr600 on a newer klr650?
or any other hollow axle nuts?
i am looking at mounting a trailer to my klr.

My initial knee-jerk thought when I saw the subject was that you
wanted you "reduce unsprung weight." :rolleyes:

This is a normal arrangement for the "trailtail" trailers. I am thinking
of getting one this winter a a winter, (off-season), project.

I took my '06 in to the dealer after getting the third recall
postcard from Kawi. One muffler bolt was missing. I had already
lost and replaced the exhaust pipe bolt down by the starter motor
within the first 2000 miles.
