another doohickey question?

To follow-up my question with an introduction: I've been a lurker for a long time. I've owned three KLR650s and mostly use them as NYC commuter bikes. I'm 27 and live in Jersey City. I just got a second KLR650 running which I sold to my housemate who is a new rider. We would like to do some enduro trails in NJ/NY/PA if anyone would like company. We should probably be considered inexperienced offroaders, even though I did a bike trip through Southeast Asia where no roads qualified as pavement. My wrenching skills are pretty good. Mike Z
