I was there late, around 11am. There was lots of thrashing going on. Guys were there doing all kinds of thigs on their bikes, balancer levers, valves, and several other things. Eagle Mike was overseeing most of what was happening. He was very nice and helpful. If you ever get a chance to go, it was worth while. Rick

In Julian....:). If you are coming up from Ramona you come to the four way stop sign in "downtown" Julian. Turn left and it's a shop/garage right next door to the fire station. It's maybe 50 yards from the stop sign. Rick

It's in east San Diego County, about 5K' elevation. When the magazines refer to Palomar Mountain in the riding reports, it's 20 minutes from Julian. Go East down to the desert, go west down to San Diego and the ocean. Lots of good riding to the north, too. It's also famous for apple pie. We had 20 plus KLR there. It's hilarious to see all the harley's ride by, slow down to see what's going on. We usually have several people that drove cars up there wander in and ask "what's going on here, and what kind of motorcycle is that?" all the best, Mike Rick McCauley wrote:

What kind of motorcycle is that is funny. A good cheap one should be the response. I have told people that I have rode my KLR to Utah at least 3 or 4 times. And down to Mexico. And down to Big Bend National Park. They look at me dumbfounded and say something like "On that?" I guess it doesn't look trick enough, metallic enough, chrome enough to impress the great unbike crowd. That's O.K. It will Get R Done to quote Larry the Cable Guy the Red Neck comic. And for a far cheaper price than my friends new GS Beemer. Nice bike. Love to have one. But not for $18000 and not to take down knarly jeep roads. Have to say, I am not normally a Beemer guy, but that is a nice bike. Criswell
