The good news is that I had no problems in Mexico.
Gas was cheaper than in the US.
Food was mostly good; didn't get Montezuma's revenge but I won't know
for 20 years if I got Vaca Loca.
I rode all the way from Tarzana, CA to TJ to Mike's Big Sky Ranch and
then back through Ensenda/coastal route back to TJ. No crime, no
violence, no theft. It rained enough to make the temps nice and it
kept the dust down.
THE MAJORITY OF VIOLENCE IS BETWEEN DRUG GANGS. THESE DRUG GANGS DON'T
WANT ANYMORE HEAT WHICH IS WHAT THEY WOULD GET IF THEY TARGETED
TOURISTS.
In San Diego, USA some lowlife stole my well used and well dinged but
cool Shoei helmet. He cut the strap to get it off my helmet lock. I
cannot imagine him getting much money for it. And a strap seems like a
hassle to fix/replace.
Luckily, I promptly found a good replacement on Craigslist in El Cajon.
Had a blast at Del Mar race track and the Steel Pulse concert after the
races at the track. Steel Pulse had a great sound but they kept
repeating the same 4 or 5 words per song; that be Reggae...
Had a wicked time at a party in La Mesa, CA with a live band playing
classic rock. Killer food and libations etc. at the party.
I didn't have time to see/find the Donkey Show in TJ.
Who would want to see a donkey when there was so much eye candy
in Del Mar and the Gas Lamp district? (old town San Diego).

Arrrggghh!
Now I have to go back and reread all that highminded stuff to put it
in context...I really struggled with it too...thinking I was reading
Revmaarten's stuff and getting all confused as it just didnt sound
like a Marine. Or did it? Most of it was so far over my head I don't
know for sure. Can we get back to the KLR...I can understand it most
of the time.
Man. Oh well.

speaking of provoking a war
do yall think that Russia setting up defensive missiles near our borders would be considered provocative behavior.
I wonder what our reaction would be?
I believe that we can predict what their reaction will be as we sent missile to Poland.
for defense only of course
we and the world can always trust our government

We know the answer to that. They tried to set up missiles 90 miles off our shores in 1962.> I wonder what our reaction would be? >

While the answer is the same, I don't believe the Russian missles were
defensive?? I think they were nuclear tipped.
