And just think Eddie, if Obama makes it, the next time you take cover from a storm you won't have the right to protect yourself with a firearm. ;-) Good luck with the storm, I'm watching a webcam pointed at the N.O. bridge and it looks WET........ E -- Only crooked politicians fear guns!!!

Ok, I have an 08 and I want to do the T upgrade to the venting. Listening to a member from New Orleans that was going to EVAC on his KLR and it was not done convinced me I need to do mine ASAP. Winter is coming and My KLR is my emergency transportation. Can someone give me the instructions? Michael [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

http://www.klr650.marknet.us/ This should be your 1st or 2nd resource (along with the FAQ). "Carb Rain T-Mod" is a link on the left-hand side under procedures. FYI, the procedures are also available in PDF format for downloading and printing.

Going from memory here but this should be ok. Go to the right side of your bike and look at the swing arm near the shock. Find a wire box/bracket on the inside. There should be a plastic tube sitting there; if you follow it up you'll see it goes to the carb. Go to an auto parts store and buy a 1/4" OD T fitting. ( I used a Y ) Now back to the bike. Cut the tube several ( 6 ? ) inches from the carb and insert the fitting. If you're Stuart M. you stop right there. If you're Professor Hyman you run the 1/4" ID tubing you bought at the hardware store under the tank and tie it near the steering stem. Most people run the extra tube under the seat and zip lock it under there some where. Now if water ( maybe heat from the road ) obstructs the tube opening at the swing arm your carb has another source for air. I also installed a one way valve in the tube above the carb so you don't spill gas when the bike goes down. Bogdan
