progressive rear spring

I just installed LR Progressive 350#-450# spring on the stock shock. I noticed that the inside diameter of the spring is about 1/2" too large and it sits 1/4" off of the outside edge of the bottom retaining ring, the whole way around. I'm hoping that it doesn't develop in to an issue. Because the spring's inside diameter is larger the outside diameter is larger too. This really fills the yoke area of the rear swing arm. Almost too much, and it binds when the swing arm is completely unloaded. To your point, I didn't notice any 'slop' at the top end when I reconnected the resprung shock. I did notice that the shock's connection points are not perfectly symetrically aligned with the center-line of the shock. I don't mean any disrespect but is the pre- load adjustment nut (top) on the left-side of the bike and is the dampener adjustment wheel (bottom) on the right-side of the bike? If not, maybe it causes other problems. Don R100, A6F --- In DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com, "hill_buster" wrote:
