Listers, Heads,
I just got a Craftsman Club flyer from Sears. Craftsman Microtork Torque
Wrenches will be going on sale for Craftsman Club members for $59.99
each. Regular price is $79.99. Part numbers are 44593/4/5.
To get the good price you must be a Craftsman Club member which is free.
To join get an application at the tool counter at your local Sears store
OR go on line and sign up at
www.craftsman.com OR call 800 682-8691.
You must sign up in time to get your membership card as the sales folks
can't give you the good price without it.
For those needing a pretty decent torque wrench this might be a good
opportunity to snag one or two or maybe even all three.
Best,
Jeff Saline

Thanks for the heads up Jeff. Btw, do you know how delicate torque wrenches
are? I have one for ft. lbs. that i've left in the trunk of my car, and i
think i've read somewhere that they can be somewhat delicate. Also, i think
i've left it "on" about 60 lbs or so for a while before putting it back to
zero. Do you know if any of this can throw off the calibration?
thanks,
Dan

What do you mean by 'almost red-lining at slow speeds'?????
Did you 'smoke' the clutch? If the engine seems normal and can rev
up to almost red-line BUT your bike isn't getting up to speed very
fast, it sounds like the clutch.

FYI there is place you can have the calibration checked and possibly done depending on your particular torque wrnech.
This is normal pratice with ISO certified company using torque wrench.
