"According to my dealer, there is a different replacement part # that
is suppose to be the "fixed" version. About a month ago I had 2
replaced then about a week later the other 2 fell off. When I took it
back they said there was now a new replacement part and they ordered 4
new ones and replaced them. Only time will tell..."

I think you can use the H7 from Autozone. It's not too hard to replace.
There some tricks, but really, it's easiest to remove the fairing. At least
on one side. It took me about 20 minutes from beginning to end. Not
terrible.

Why did Kawasaki change the rings for 08? The old rings were bullet
proof. Obviously, the front brake needed beefing up and the new
headlight is better BUT THE RINGS WERE A CASE OF FIXING SOMETHING
THAT WASN'T BROKE AND BREAKING IT!

They changed the rings to improve oil comsumption. ;^)
Seriously, I just did over 1000 miles in 100F at 60-70 mph with 15/40
oil and didn't add a drop. If that changes, I plan to buy a forged
piston from Schnitz, re-hone the cylinder and be done with it.
