Bypassing the clutch safety switch at the switch is not the best way since it also bypasses the sidestand safety switch as you have found but it also leaves the starter circuit relay in place which is no longer needed since it's sole function is to accommodate the clutch safety switch and if it fails you will have a problem. So why not eliminate it? It is the same part as the fan relay so save it for backup. To bypass the clutch safety switch properly disconnect the plug with the BK/Y BL/R and LG wires at the clutch safety switch (Kawasaki refers to this as the Starter Lockout Switch). Do not use any jumpers here. Optionally you can remove the screw holding the switch together and remove the switch parts along with the wire lead. Now locate the starter circuit relay under the black cover above the sidestand and remove it (It is by the starter solenoid and is the smaller of the two). The plug has four terminals. Two are Y/R, one BL/R and one BK. Connect either Y/R to the BK with a jumper wire and seal with electrical tape. The clutch safety switch is now bypassed and the sidestand safety switch circuit is still active. To also bypass the sidestand safety switch you can either connect the BL/R terminal above to ground or place a jumper at the plug for the sidestand safety switch (which would be G/W to ground). Walt
