nklr - 1973 yamaha ct 175 enduro - help!

Just got a baby brother for the KLR, a beat up but rideable CT175.
I need to know what kind of oil to put in the gear box and can't find
a manual for this bike. Any ideas?
Also, it's missing a couple of spokes. I've never had to replace
spokes before and have no idea where I'd go to get some for this old
of bike. Any suggestions?

The common gearbox oil of that era was 20W-40 motor oil(any two-stroke
gearbox oil will probably do). Yamaha currently sells the following:
http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/apparel/apscitemdetail/3/122/all/1/1579/detail.aspx
The Yamaha site has parts catalogs for several 1973 models, including
a CT3. You can get parts numbers and try the dealer or the internet,
e.g., ronayers.com. Also, wheel specialists will probably be helpful.

I have a 1980 DT 175, and had no trouble getting a Cylmer manual for it. Hope that helps.
