install wheels

Post by Jim Douglas » Fri Jun 27, 2008 7:21 pm

With new MEFO Explorer tires on the 08 with 4200 miles, hopefully I will get more miles from these. Question is that I have not worked on a bike in 25 years and wondered if there was anything special that I should, should not do when re-installing the wheels, seemed to come off real easy. Had the tires installed for $20.00 each at Bates here in Dallas area, which is much better than the dealer or me getting pissed off trying to do it! Any input would be appreciated! Also anyone else running these and what pressure are you using? Thanks! JimD

A guy told me the way to more power on a KLR is bigger carb. Don't know if true or he just wanted to sell me a carb. And gas milage would probably go down. not a smart move right now. Criswell
