not a bad problem to have

Post by David C. » Tue Jun 24, 2008 10:05 pm

Hi, Rev, Thanks for the reply. That's generally what I plan to do, keep the '88 around for a loaner/beater bike. It's resale value is laughable. I pulled the engine guard, bash plate, centerstand, big front brake, off road footpegs, etc, off the '88 and plugged them into the '04. Tomorrow and the next day I'll take the brake hoses and accessories, electrical stuff, and the big gas tank off and transfer them to the '04. I'll put a new bash plate and centerstand on the '88, and call it good. The '88 has Kendas 271s on it, and will be good for local DS rides; the '04 has Scorpions on it (which I am really taking a liking to), and will be mostly for longer, highway type stuff. Be nice to have a spare D/S bike, in case someone rides their heavy road bike over and we decide we want to go poke around the local logging roads. At 03:47 PM 6/24/2008, you wrote:
