Last November I bought a leftover 2007 DL650 fully intending to sell my 2004
KLR650 with 20k miles. I didn't get around to cleaning up the KLR and
putting a new battery and rear tire and doing general pre-sale prep until a
few weeks ago. After taking a few rides I remembered what I enjoy so much
about the KLR and decided not to sell it.
So while I really enjoy the VStrom I've started mixing in the KLR for local
riding, and it is going to become a platform for transporting my mountain
bike to the trails once I weld up a rack.

Mike, there was a guy selling racks for bicycle (and kayak among other strange items) transport on KLR's a looooong time ago on this list. Maybe someone else recalls the link??? Or maybe you want to weld your own in which case, carry on. da Vermonster> >

Asked the kids did I get a package and they all yelled NO, went to get
the mail and tripped over the
HUGE tires sitting on the front door stoop! To the non-expert they look
sturdy enough and will get
the wheels off Friday night and drop the off to be installed over the
weekend! Hoping to get more
than the 4K miles the stock rubber has delivered to me! I have started
noticing a wee bit of bald
tire feeling during a recent wet period!
