throttle lubricant

I'd use a white lithium grease or a cable lubricant. Typically around $6. Here's one I use; http://tinyurl.com/6x5mh2 With that, if you get this; http://www.btosports.com/p/APLUBE You'll be all set to lube the cables without a mess. I'd check for binding first and you want a little bit of slack in the cables down by the carb for proper operation. Sometimes you might want to twist the entire throttle housing a bit on the handlebars to ensure the cables don't have too sharp a bend in them.
