08 klr electrical short (need advice on getting dealer repairs under

Post by matteeanne@yahoo.com » Fri Jun 06, 2008 7:12 pm

I have asked a priest to exorsize my 08. (It is possesed by demons) After 10,000 miles I have had the main fuse short out over 11 times, taped off every wire at least once (trying to insulate whatever is causing the short?), Today my starter switch shorted out and no longer works? (Can I assume this is what has been shorting out the main fuse?) My seat seam is split and it burns oil. Ive had three flats, and dropped it at least a dozen times off road (thanks nerf bars!) Anyone had experience getting this stuff taken care of under warranty? Can anyone guide me to verbiage that I can take to dealer to show them: 1.) Seat Seem should be covered 2.) Buring oil is caused by _____ and should be covered by warranty 3.) Switch shorted out and should be covered by warranty. It's had to believe that a KLR would let me down, but this one is just pissing me off. Taking it (by truck) to dealer tomorrow, they said they can have parts by Tuesday but likely the week after before they can effect repairs. They said "it's summer and were busy". I said, "yeah um, remember I am the guy that rides and buys all winter, so put me ahead of the poseurs, those guys wont even notice their bike is in the shop" [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
