My local shop would trade me $12 each for a shim.......
CAlled SuperFred...... And his put his cape on and dashed into
service mode and got me I think it was 3 shims shipped for what just
a single shim would have set me back at the local shop.
Even when I lived up in the wilderness they arrived quickly.
Kit just seems silly to me for the short period of time it took to
get just what I needed, think I tore down early week, had parts and
the machine back on the road by end of week.

I just returned from the Canyonlands Classic in Moab. Fred has just
received a warehouse full of Mefo tires. He said half were already
sold. So get your order in while you can.

Sounds Like a good dealer then! I think I might have been there once
to buy some small part if it's the one in Modesto! I really don't
have a dealership, Modesto or Merced are both about 45-50 miles from
me so I mostly buy online!
